Cookie Policy
This covers what Planvent stores in your browser, on the public site and inside the workspace. It is short, because we store very little. Read it alongside the privacy policy.
1. What we set
A cookie is a small file a site stores on your device. We also use local storage, which does the same job. Here is everything Planvent uses.
| Category | What it is for | Can you turn it off? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keeping you signed in, holding your session, and protecting forms against cross-site request forgery. | No - signing in does not work without them. |
| Preferences | Remembering choices like your last-used view or a panel you collapsed, so you are not resetting them every visit. | Yes, through your browser. The app still works, it just forgets. |
2. Analytics, and what we do not do
We measure aggregate traffic on the public site - which pages get read, roughly how many people read them - using a cookieless tool. It sets no cookie, stores no identifier on your device, and cannot follow you to another site.
We set no advertising or retargeting cookies, anywhere on Planvent, and we run no third-party tracking pixels on the site. Our email provider does use a standard tracking pixel to report whether a message was delivered and opened, which is described in the privacy policy. Our hosting provider may set technical cookies needed to serve the site securely.
3. Why there is no cookie banner
Because there is nothing to ask you about. Everything in the table above is either required for the service you asked for or a preference you set yourself, and our analytics do not use cookies at all, so there is no non-essential category to consent to. A banner that appears only to be dismissed is friction pretending to be a choice.
If that ever changes - if we add advertising, retargeting or third-party analytics - we will build a real consent control and ask you before setting anything, and this page will say so before it happens rather than after.
4. Controlling what is stored
Every browser can block or clear cookies and local storage for a site, usually under privacy or site settings. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will stop you signing in. Clearing preferences simply resets the workspace to its defaults.
5. Changes
If what we store changes, we will update this page and the effective date, and we will ask for consent before setting anything non-essential.
